Hook Restaurant’s New Website Catches Customers “Hook, Line, and Sinker”

With the assistance of web design firm, Blue Water Media, Hook launches a redesigned website which highlights the restaurant and leaves the customer “hooked.”

Washington, DC – (October 15, 2009) Hook, a premier seafood restaurant located in Georgetown, recently launched a redesigned website which brings to life its restaurant experience.  The site provides a taste of the restaurant’s food and ambiance leaving the user salivating and craving more.  The new color schemes and user-friendly links help the customer easily navigate the website’s many features.

The redesigned website combines aesthetically appealing graphics with informative links to streamline users to their area of interest.  Hook’s homepage prominently features a picture slideshow with images of its elegant dining area, immaculate kitchen, and succulent meals.  These images combine to represent the complete Hook experience.

The website clearly identifies opportunities to discover more about the restaurant.  The top right hand corner of the homepage prominently displays Hook’s contact information, which is adjacent to an opportunity to join the Hook mailing list.  The left side toolbar provides links to more information about Hook including: menu, lure private dining, hours & reservations, press, gallery, about us, and contact.  The press link leads to some of Hook’s many awards and top notch reviews, while the gallery link leads to mouth-watering pictures of Hook’s cuisine, and stylish pictures of Hook’s dining area.  The website also has a link to OpenTable which allows users to make reservations.  In addition to these features, the website allows its users an opportunity to get even closer via its facebook and twitter links.

Blue Water Media designed Hook’s website to resemble its restaurant experience.  The website’s dark blue background and cursive “Hook” script matches the actual restaurant’s trademark dark blue awning. The website’s background along with its left sidebar featuring an underwater picture provides a unique underwater feeling which resonates with its menu.  The partnership between Blue Water Media and Hook has resulted in an experiential website which resonates with the customer.
