Thanks for the in depth insight Sergey. I am always surprised by the large contingency of internet users using older browser versions. Hopefully this post gets out there and people upgrade!!!

My perception is that your computer is like a car:
it needs maintenance, oil, tire, break changes.

Computer needs updates:
security OS, browser, plugins, etc.

And then people complain how their computer is too slow and no good.

Same applies for the browsers.
Let us hope that IE8 will be good replacement for both IE7 and IE6

Great post Sergey. It always surprises me how slow the general public is to updating their software. Whether its patches for their OS, new definitions for their AntiVirus software, or their most used application, their web browser.

Aside from websites not functioning properly in old browsers like IE6, you would think all the new features, plugins, securtiy, and speed would motivate people to update their browsers to the latest and greatest.
