“Not only would I recommend them, I already have! I'm trying to get our other associations (including our parent company) to consider using them in the initial RFP process. Every person I've ever dealt with at Blue Water has been nothing but considerate, professional and an all-around good person (and business person). I'm thrilled we made the right choice choosing Blue Water Media.”

Award Winning Web Design
Blue Water Media is an award winning web design company that has consistently won awards for our excellence in web design, application development, and print design/corporate identity. Although our primary concern is our clients' satisfaction, it is rewarding to be recognized by our peers for the hard work we invest in our web design projects. Listed below are a few of the most notable accolades we have received.
2010 Design Awards
American Design Awards, Monthly Design Contest March 2010:
Stanton Park Media
This website combines an uncluttered interface and stunning graphics to attract users and streamline their search. The homepage opens with a picture of Stanton Park Media’s most valuable company asset–a video camera. Directly above the picture lies the website’s main toolbar with links to: home, about us, services, projects, and contact us. Each of these links leads to additional company information. For example, the “projects” link leads to snapshots of Stanton Park Media’s previous documentaries including Kidnap & Rescue, a documentary detailing U.S. Citizen Roy Hallum’s dramatic kidnapping story. The “services” link details Stanton Park Media’s comprehensive production services including: budgets, writing, production, and editing.
The Coulter Companies
“Our goal was to engage our current and prospective clients in the varying ways we partner with and achieve success with both nonprofits and corporations,” said Erin M. Fuller, CAE, group president, Coulter Strategy & Innovation.
The new website combines an engaging user interface with an intuitive site architecture resulting in an enjoyable and streamlined user experience. The homepage opens with a rotating image of a client event produced by Coulter Events. Incorporated in the image is a quote by Rudolf Flesch which encapsulates the company’s guiding principles, “Creativity may simply be the realization that there’s no particular virtue to doing things the way they’ve always been done.” Beneath the image are links to the company’s three main services: association management, event management and consulting, strategy & innovation.
2009 Design Awards
American Design Awards, Monthly Design Contest October 2009:
Hook Restaurant
Blue Water Media designed Hook’s website to resemble its restaurant experience. The website’s dark blue background and cursive “Hook” script matches the actual restaurant’s trademark dark blue awning. The website’s background along with its left sidebar featuring an underwater picture provides a unique underwater feeling which resonates with its menu. The partnership between Blue Water Media and Hook has resulted in an experiential website which resonates with the customer.
AdJuggler
The new website combines aesthetically appealing graphics with informative links to streamline users to their desired webpage. The site features AdJuggler’s prominent toolbar with links to: solutions, services, technology, about us, contact us, and login. Each link drops down to a host of client options. For example, the solutions link leads to AdJuggler’s three solutions: Marketer Solution, Publisher Solution, and Network Solution. From there, each solution leads to an overview, an in-depth description, and a case study. The case studies analyze real life business scenarios and illustrate how AdJuggler’s expertise has benefited the client.

Self Promotion:
Blue Water Media
In an effort to practice what we preach, the team worked to integrate a number of fresh Web design, programming technologies and implementation practices into the new Blue Water site. Some of the more notable features include:
- A content management system that makes updating page text and image content a snap – even for those of us here without a ton of programming knowledge
- Databases that house portfolio content
- The use of advanced CSS
- Section 508 compliance throughout the Web site so that the pages are accessible to visitors with disabilities
- A stepped up marketing effort that will have a profound effect on the site's placement in major search engines as Google and Yahoo
- WAP enabled pages so Wi-Fi users can view the site on handheld devices
Over the past eight years of being in the Web development business we have learned that scalability is paramount with sites of this nature. We built our new site utilizing the same open source technology (such as PHP and MySQL) that we recommend for our clients. The approach affords the flexibility to easily deploy new technology and site features as we grow and as technology evolves.
